On US-English keyboard layouts you can zoom-in/out/reset the web pages in the browsers like: Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Opera,… using:
- Zoom reset to 100% – Ctrl+0 (zero)
- Zoom-out – Cltr+- (minus near Backspace)
- Zoom-in – Ctrl++ (plus near Backspace)
All three buttons are one near each other on the keyboard.
When you are using an AZERTY keyboard (like in France), you’ll see that the zoom-out is not working anymore on the same button. If you are a little bit more lucky on some application you may zoom-out using Ctrl+5 (because here is where the minus character is moved.). Anyway this doesn’t look to ergonomic from my point of view.
Note: this study does not consider the “+” and “-” keys from the NumPad area. Just ignore them and remember that these keys do not exist on laptops/notebooks.
Now please choose the behavior that you would like from the options below.
